Join us on Thursday 3rd May for our Presentations, Zoo Training and Animal Encounters Talk. Our speaker for the evening will be Lead Animal Presenter, Sarah Wright who will be sharing her experiences of life on the Presentations Team. Sarah will also be joined by some of her colleagues from the Animals Team who will be talking about how they train the animals they work with. Find out how our hoofstock keepers work with rhinos, Bertus and Samir. We will also be hearing from the keepers at Living links about how they train the animals in their care and members of the Birds Team. If you would like to attend this talk, booking is recommended. Edinburgh Zoo Plant Sale
Friday 18th May, 11am-3pm, Budongo Lecture Theatre.
Celebrate Plant Conservation Day on Friday 18th May with a visit to Edinburgh Zoo, as the park’s Gardens Team host their annual plant sale in the Budongo Lecture Theatre between 11am and 3pm.
A great opportunity to pick up something special for the garden, there will be a range of fantastic plants on offer, from bedding plants to more unusual tropical species. New Zealand Satin Flower, the brightly coloured Torch Lily and Purple Siberian Melics are just a few of the exotics on offer.
All the beautiful plants and flowers on sale will have been grown by the Gardens Team at Edinburgh Zoo, who will also be on hand to answer any horticultural questions.
Free with Zoo admission.
