Our Dynamic Earth is a fantastic journey of discovery. Travel back in time to witness the Big Bang from the deck of a space ship, then forward through the history of our planet. You'll be shaken by earthquakes, dive deep beneath the ocean in our own submarine, feel the chill of polar ice and even get caught in a tropical rainstorm. Whatever happens, you'll have the experience of a lifetime.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, Our Dynamic Earth is a truly memorable day out for all the family.
Opening Times: November - March, Wednesday to Sunday, 10.00am - 5.00pm (last entry 3.50pm) Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
April - October, Open 7 days, 10.00am - 6.00pm (last entry 4.50pm)

Decorate the Dome at Our Dynamic Earth
Make your mark at Our Dynamic Earth this Easter and help create the world's largest collage of our planet. Over 1700 squares will go to make up a huge three-dimensional collage of the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth which will totally transform the Dome on the Stratosphere. For a £1.00 donation to CHAS (The Children's Hospice Association for Scotland) you can buy a square, collage a part of the planet, and watch as the pieces of the puzzle fit into place. Workshops will run daily from Saturday 5th April to Sunday 27th April, or until the collage is complete. They are open from 10.00am to 4.00pm and children of all ages are welcome!
Myths & Monsters
Our exciting summer exhibition - will be at Dynamic Earth from Monday 7th July to Sunday 31st August 2003. Discover the mysteries behind the monsters - explore the myths that told of dragons and unicorns - decide for yourself if the Yeti really exists. |
