Set in 82 acres of splendid parkland, close to the city centre, and open 365 days a year, Edinburgh Zoo is home to over 1000 rare and beautiful animals and is one of Europe’s leading zoos in the areas of conservation, animal welfare and education.

With an inspiring array of daily events including the world-famous Penguin Parade, keeper talks and animal presentations there’s always something exciting going on! Fantastic new exhibits such as Brilliant Birds our new walkthrough aviary and our unique chimpanzee experience Budongo Trail, allow you to get up close and personal with our animals.

Meet animals including the UK’s only koalas, Indian rhinos and Sumatran tigers and enjoy all the facilities on offer such as the Hilltop Safari, gift shop, cafes, bar and coffee shop.
