Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
Directions
Off the A902, one mile north of the city centre. There are regular bus services [8, 17, 23 or 27] to the East Gate [Inverleith Row]. The Majestic Tour Bus also visits the garden.

Parking is available around the perimeter of the garden and is free at weekends and evenings, but metered Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm.

Just one mile from city centre, The Royal Botanic Garden allows visitors to refresh their senses in one of the world's finest gardens.

The garden is alive with opportunities for discovery. Visit the Glasshouses and embark upon a fascinating journey through the tropical and temperate regions of the globe. Discover a rainforest with home-grown bananas and giant water lilies. Explore the world’s deserts, mountains and sunny shores – there’s something for everyone!

Open all year, the garden hosts a lively programme of events, offering fun for the whole family in the beautiful setting of the garden.

Open daily from 10am [excluding 25 Dec & 1 Jan] closes:
7pm April-September;6pm October; 4pm November-February and 6pm March

ENTRY TO THE GARDEN IS FREE!

Admission to the Glasshouses is: Adult £3.50; Concessions £3; Children £1; Family £8. Members free.
