Deep Sea World is an experience like no other. Featuring the UK's longest underwater viewing tunnel and a fascinating array of marine life, you'll be amazed at what you find.
Our vast underwater world is home to one of the largest collections of sand tiger sharks in Europe, stingrays, conger eels, plus thousands of other weird and wonderful creatures.
With our spectacular cafe, and outstanding souvenir shop there is plenty to see and do, including watching the divers hand feed the sharks, making Deep Sea World a memorable day out for all the family. |

February 16th & 17th Magic Oceans Weekend
Come along and learn all about the ‘magical’ creatures of the sea. We will also have performances of magical marine tricks to amaze and delight. This weekend is a treat for the whole family.
February 29th-2nd March Leapfrog Weekend
Have a hopping good time at Deep Sea World! Learn all about amphibians, from how they grow to how they defend themselves. With plenty of activities including froggy quizzes, and froggy crafts there is something for everyone so hop along to Deep Sea World.
March 22nd & 23rd Rockin’ Reef Weekend
Cool tunes and even cooler coral! You’re invited to a weekend packed full of great reef games and regular talks about the importance of coral and how we can all work to conserve it. Come along and make exciting reef crafts with the Imagination Workshop.
May 17th & 18th Shark Awareness Weekend
Meet a real life shark diver and learn what diving with sharks is really like! Come and meet a shark expert. Hear first hand experiences and fascinating facts. Learn to identify all different types of shark and even make a mask of your favourite shark.
June 5th-8th Conservation Weekend
Celebrate World Environment Day with us on Thursday June 5th. Learn about the small changes that can make a big difference to our world. Guest speakers, and great activities continue through to World Ocean Day on Sunday. Learn about the changes we are making at Deep Sea World and what can be done around the world to save our environment and oceans.
July 12th & 13th Carnival Weekend
Get your popcorn, Get your candy floss! The Carnival is coming to Deep Sea World. There are plenty of games, activities, and prizes to be won. A great chance to learn about the colourful fish in our ‘circus of the seas’ during this perfect summer celebration!
August 10th - 17th National Marine Week
Marine Week is an opportunity for us to raise awareness of our marine environment and highlight marine conservation issues. With a series of special talks about marine conservation this week is a great time to learn about what we can do to help our oceans.
September 20th & 21st Pirate Weekend
Fun, frolics and hordes of pirate activities – walking the plank, tug o’ war, treasure trails and real live diving pirates, all this and a chance to learn about some famous Scottish pirates, promises to bring out the pirate in everyone – adult and child alike.
October 17th – 31st Creepy Crawlies Fortnight and Halloween Weekend
October is time to get touchy feely with some creepy crawlies! With regular handling sessions daily throughout the fortnight you can get up close and personal with some of natures neatest beasties. As an extra special treat for Halloween weekend – 25th & 26th children in costume are free when accompanied by a full paying adult. There will be ghostly games and creepy crafts, witchery walks and terrifying touchy tombstones – can you work out what is buried beneath them? Ghouls, ghosts, frights and delights await you.
SHARK DIVING
If jumping into shark-infested waters is your idea of fun, then you'll be glad to hear that we're the only aquarium in Scotland to offer you this experience. No qualifications or experience are required, so it's open to just about everyone. Full training is given on the day and all necessary equipment is provided. Please call in advance as pre-booking is essential.
