Come and visit the world's largest chimpanzee enclosure, Budongo Trail. This wonderful enclosure allows visitors to see the chimpanzees in their new naturalistic environment and visitors can learn more about chimpanzees and their behaviour with interactive displays and engaging educational information about the conservation of wild chimpanzees in the Budongo Forest in Uganda.
Also fly by and touch the colours of the rainbow and visit our new interactive aviary, Rainbow Landings. This walk-through aviary gives visitors the opportunity to get up close to our beautiful inquisitive rainbow lorikeet birds by purchasing some nectar allowing the birds to fly to the visitor's hand to feed!
Edinburgh Zoo is open from 9am every day of the year, including Christmas Day. In October we are open until 5pm and then from November to February we are open until 4:30pm.
