Interactive Science Centre on on Blackford Hill. Learn about light in our Discovery Zone with hands-on exhibits, Reaching for the Stars exhibition tells the history of the Royal Observatory and Astronomy in Edinburgh, See the second largest telescope in Scotland, and a computer gallery full of PC’s, CD-ROM’s, and videos, exploring the wonders of our great universe. Special events and workshops during school holidays; Winter Lectures; public observing Oct-March; Classes in Astronomy; Panoramic views over Edinburgh; science shop, learn about the current work of the Royal Observatory. Evening groups are our specialty, booking required. Opening hours: 10-5pm Monday-Saturday: 12-5pm Sundays.
