GET BACK TO NATURE with exhilarating fresh sea air and breathtaking views at this stunning FIVE STAR wildlife Visitor Centre. ALL WEATHER attraction only 30 minutes by car, train or bus. Open all year, you can control LIVE “Big Brother” cameras and be enthralled by amazing close-ups of puffins and gannets with chicks, seals with pups and sometimes even sightings of dolphins, porpoises and whales from the Telescope Deck.
The perfect place to get away from it all, the area is a haven for wildlife through all the seasons. There's a stunning Licensed Café/ Bistro with open outdoor sundeck overlooking the sea and sandy beaches. There are Guides in Discovery Centre, a well-stocked gift shop. Full disabled access, baby changing and facilities and free parking.
Tickets are priced from £3.50 Concessions and Children, £4.95 Adults and £13.50 and children under five go free. The Centre is open all year (except Christmas day). 7pm 24th April Fire and Ice. Did you know that Edinburgh was once a dramatic landscape of fire and ice? British Geological Survey Geologist, David McAdam tells the story of the Arthur’s Seat volcano and relates it to the geology of East Lothian. Preserved in Hollyrood Park, Arthur’s Seat allows us to see inside a volcano, active at the same time as the East Lothian volcanoes at Bass Rock, North Berwick and Traprain Law. (£2.50 members £4.00 non members.)

August 30th–31st. Whale and Dolphin Identification weekend with Erich Hoyt, leading whale and dolphin expert. Learn how to ID whales and dolphins at this fascinating workshop, followed by a practical session spotting and listening for dolphins with an underwater hydrophone. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to gain an insight into these beautiful marine mammals.
